It looks as if it might be challenging but possible to engineer a mooring here - I would definitely look into it if I were considering this area and had the funds to explore this option. There is a lock nearby but the canal looks wide enough for moored boats not to cause an obstruction, however there doesn't seem to be any precedent. The property is probably in the centre of the Streetview screen shot below, but it's hard to judge.
