Currently the canal is under restoration; it has around 6.5km in water and 24km of towpath under its management. Visually, this is an attractive row of houses, so I would want to view if I was still living in this area - it's particularly cute along this row at Christmas! However, there can be a bit of a background drone from the M4, depending on the wind and weather, although they may have improved that since I last visited, as there were huge earthworks in progress. A trip boat, the Dragonfly, operates from Waitrose, which is a manageable walk away.
