- Canal aspect: Whilst not directly adjoining the canal, the windows on the right hand end of the cottage look out at Lock 57 on the Trent and Mersey Canal. Moorings may be available a few steps away (there may be a waiting list). Currently the CRT lease for the moorings is owned by Belvedere House, which was on the market when I wrote this, but you might be able to negotiate pairing the lease with Lock 57 cottage instead. Worth a shot! This was previously the village shop until the business was extended into what is now Belvedere House (see below for the history of these two properties).

Belvedere House made a particularly interesting research project, which I hope the new owner will enjoy. Spoiler alert, it isn’t a warehouse!
