- Canal aspect: This lock cottage is at Bucket Lock on the Stratford Upon Avon Canal by Yarningale Aqueduct. It's possibly the most extended lock cottage I have ever seen. It sits in grounds of about 5 acres. There must be road access as the agent mentions the block paved driveway and double garage. The lock cottage part of the property has recently been used as a holiday let. The agent mentions its "imposing barrel roof" but not the rarity of these wonderful heritage structures, which were reputedly built this way because of the brickies' skills with bridges and tunnels.
