About me

Hello! I'm Sheridan Parsons. I live with my husband Mike and my youngest son in Tamworth. I'm a bit quirky, in fact I'm quite public about the fact that I am 'neurodiverse', although I’ve never been officially diagnosed. Far from being a disadvantage, it gives me selective hyperfocus, excellent research skills, and a straight talking, honest approach, which many people find quite refreshing, although I'm sure that some people find me a tad annoying!

Poppy and Stone

I'm passionate about researching deaths and burials in cemeteries and churchyards, and I'm a qualified local and family historian. At the end of November 2025, I will be relaunching this website as Poppy and Stone, which will be dedicated to my cemetery research and telling the stories of the forgotten.

I also clean graves with Keely Taylor of Taylor'd Grave Care. Keely provides a regular grave tending service for her clients in my local area. If you need someone to look after a grave in the Tamworth area, I can thoroughly recommend her wonderful service.
